Jimmy Abney- You Bring Me Joy/// What a beautiful track, the voice, the chords, the groove, this is from his album 'Return To Forever' on Yoruba records and 'More Of You' is also my favourite, check it out, RESPECT.x

Ahmad Jamal-Death and Resurrection/// This is a real moving track, wonderfully made, you can hear and feel the whole emotion of it through the different chords and sweeping of the strings and the melody that Ahmad Jamal plays, i suppose when you have mastered your craft then i believe you can capture that feeling through music, this is a stunning piece of work and so many of his other tracks, check them out for real!!!

Surgeon-First/// Oh my days, i remember when my brother used to make me listen to similar stuff like this, he used to make me sit down and we would go through all his techno records, now some of these tracks used to be 23 mins long and then he would go into this long conversations and start to analyse the tracks lolllllll, i kinda thank him for it now.

Ian Pooley- Flatlet/// Nice track, reminds me of empty London city at night, the combination of the gliding chords and the driving bass is lovely, the beat is dope too, different,swe-et!

Boo Williams- Planet Earth/// This track is real different, that's what stood out for me, it was made 1995,i don't know if its just me, its sounds as though it was made recently, like the sharp sounds and the groove of the beat,heavy track!!!

Manual Göttsching - E2- E4/// This piece of music feels like it was made fresh today, timeless & just a real lovely piece of music!

Amy Winehouse/// I was just going through some of her music the other day, she was a real talented girl, her voice, the songs she wrote, some beautiful tracks especially her earlier stuff, would of been really nice to see what kind of music she would of done later on in life.

J Dilla-La La La/// This is such a tight beat, good vibes all the way,just a lovely piece to listen too. You know what i think sampling is such a fantastic art, bringing history of music to the present, its a good way of teaching the future generation. They will want to know where that sample came from and through that they will discover other gems, its quite educational, it is building bridges between the old and the new, and when you know how to use it right you can make some magic.

Hello wonderful people, hope you are all keeping well and busy........is it just me or is this year turning out to be bad news, so much stuff going on ,keep positive that's all i can say......easier said then done :) Any ways sorry i haven't posted recently just caught up in other worldly boring stuff......

I didn't know that YouTube were showing full length films, i was watching 'The Devils Backbone' , yes you've guessed right its related to horror but not your typical blood and gore. This independent movie is made by the Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar. Very beautifully made some real scary bits,subtle, check it out if you got some time on yo hands. So what i have i been up to, well started doing some doodle sketching again, though id bring it back to life and hopefully continue with it. Okay so I've been listening to all sorts from past to present gonna start off with this

Michael jackson- Get On The Floor /// Oh my gosh this track is soooo tight, everytime i listen to it, it feels like i heard it for the first time, the voice, the bass, the strings, the break down, oh man BRING SOME OF THIS BACK PLEASE....!!!!!

Thunder Cat- Jamboree /// Feeling his stuff, his new album is out 'the age of the apocalypse' chord changes and the bass riffs are so dope, check it out.

Mark de Clive Lowe ft Nia Andrews- Hooligan /// Such a dope track, the unique vocals, the words, the bass, the groove. Everytime i hear mdcl stuff you know that its him,thats what stands out for me in an artist. brap brap to that.

Lisa"Left Eye" Lopes- The Block Party/// This beat is banging.

Dorothy Ashby- Round Midnight /// I brought the album afro harping quite a few years back, i get this magical feeling when hearing this, some beautiful pieces ,check it.

The High Llamas /// Browsing through some Dorothy Ashby vids i found The High Llamas, oh man this is wonderful music why didnt i discover this earlier, reminds me of London, some amazing arrangements and lovely strings and chords, magical,im a new fan!!!

Shukriyah, Kon'nichiwa,khem choh,hello,wonderful people, New month already wowah-weewah, been watching the glasto highlights,i guess you gotta be there to get the WIDER picture, quite entertained by the zane lowe moment lol. lots of good stuff on soundcloud, mite do my next post just dedicated to that.

Buddy Sativa- Peace of Art//// Saw this name floating around quite a few times, so i thought i would check it out,some dope sounds, hes a french artist who composes everything from jazz to soul and all the bits in between,click and check him out.

Ken Ishii-Extra//// Right- i haven't heard this track in ages and i never knew it had a video to go with it, just found out the other week. Its an animated video directed by Koji Morimoto real beautifully unusual, the combination of the music and the imagery work so well together,not for the faint hearted.

Martina Topley Bird-Valentine//// Love this track & video,great artist!!!

Shabazz palaces-A mess//// Picked up the metro, was reading the interview of Ishmael ‘Butterfly’ Butler from Digable Planets, real interesting stuff,checked the sounds,really diggin this. I'm gonna cut explaining, go and check it Out for your self.

Hola,namaste,hello,bonjour, ciao,jambo, new month already,dayam time is moving fast-fast. How are we all? Okay so what have i been doing, jus the usual made this loop thing that i posted on my sound cloud called 'flight'. This track reminds me of the Northern Lights??

So i had this old tune that was just sitting in my hard drive so just took the drums out,chopped it,flipped it,reversed it,added a few things and da- daaa. So if you got anything lying around just mute the drums and re-sample it :)

So what have i been listening too,well i went down the record shop yesterday and brought two records one by sun-ra' the lost arkestra series' its got my favourite track called 'when there is no sun' and the other is called 'greta cottage workshop' quite nice,some techno vibes on that.

De kulture music- //// Putting out some real nice music from all over India, mainly sounds from indigenous tribes,beautifully packaged CDs.

Osunlade-pyrography-//// Love the cover of this record, a veryyy striking image. I'm feeling this, a good balance of vocal tracks and music,lovely organic sounds,ava listen!!!!

Jimmy Edgar- Function of your love/// yes yes feeling this, synth funk, heavy bass line,nodding my head!!!

Zaki Ibrahim- Lost In You////This girl has got such a fantastic voice,unique im definately a fan,check her out!!!!

Murderer-a-ah- Classic tune by Barrington Levy, this music reminds me of my childhood cause my dad always used to play stuff like this,propa loud as well lol, timeless:)

Fudge fingas-Now about how///The other day i brought the album from the record shop, cant listen to it cause my record players broken, but loved what i heard from the samples, house/techno with a hint of ?? Feeling 'singularity' nice groove & melody on that,nodding my head,cant wait to listen to all of it, go and ava listen.

Pharoahe monch////Loved his music from the very first moment i heard it, 'god send, queens' etc , always had it on rotation. His recent album sounds tight /W.A.R ( we are renegades) on duck down records,check it.

Mike dehnert-Frame work///If your into your techno- then you might like this. Sounds of metal clashing,dark,atmospheric,distortion,echoes with thumping beats,some real nice tracks.

Cinematic orchestra- child song(Taylor McFerrin Remix)/// This is a beautiful re-make of the original, Sounds like driving slowly round London on a cold winters night,empty streets, snow flakes dropping,mist lit by street lights,concrete jungle in the background. press play!

Aaliyah/// Damn its been long time since i heard all this,always loved this girls voice tho,been listening to her tracks quite a bit 'Rock the boat,One in a million,need a resolution etc' heavy.

Steve reich- Electric Counterpoint- 3 ///I was introduced to his work back in college, this is a timeless piece,ahead of its time.

David Byrne+ Brian Eno- The regiment/// This track is from the album 'My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts' made in 1981, beautiful traditional vocals from Dunya yusin,a mountain singer from Lebanon accompanied by a head nodding beat & bass line.Have a listen.

LCD Soundsystem- Get Innocuous///This track is TIGHT,sharp bass ,snapping drums with some gliding vocals on the top,I'm doing the jerky robot dance right now,you should too.

LOL this is funny and so bloody spot on !!!!

HOookay i was just goin through some of my vinyls and was just reminiscing. The very first two records i got were two house records back in 1998 by Glenn Underground & kerri Chandler from this record shop in Kilburn called 'sound and bass'(i think that's the name),really friendly & helpful guys,its a shame it ain't around no more.Trust me this was an absolute random buy,no idea what category i was looking in & at the time i knew very little about the two artists. I came home and listened to them ,instantly i thought yeah this sounds heavyyy, so i guess this is how my journey into house music began:D

Aril Brikha/// On and On is the one track that i like of his,one track i never get bored of. Lovely clean choppy synth sounds with a thumping beat,the two really compliment each other,gliding track!

AT the moment I'm putting together some album material,Movin On is the current track that I'm working on, its got this 80s soul kinda feel to it, just laying down the vocals on that, coming together niiiicely. The other one is a laid back hip hop track called 'walk towards the sun' yes yes I'm kinda excited about all this even tho its early stages but yeah,ill keep you Guys posted more on that project soon. Matias Aguayo- AY AY AY///Matias has created all his beats by using multi layers of his voice accompanied by a few instruments,really like the beat boxed percussive rhythms,quite hypnotic, got some nice sounds, check it ooout!

Janelle Monae-The ArchAndroid ///Really enjoyed listening to this album, some of it's unpredictable, that's what makes it exciting,it crosses all different genres........soul with a bit of everything and i must say her voice is seriously dope,have a listen!!!

Guru-Jazzmatazz///I USED TO PLAY THIS album every-single-day when i first got it,it had a real big influence on me, just listening to it brought back memories. Its a timeless album, a combination of hip hop & jazz and beyond,featuring some amazing artists........respect!!!!

Jamie Woon- night air/// I really like this track, a very uplifting chorus, i got goosebumps,the rollin bass kicks in with this realllly haunting voice in the background,really atmospheric piece,visual,the mix by ramadanman is great too, it's out on vinyl this october.

Linkwood-system/// This is a great album,some real good 80s synth funk tracks such as 'Fudge Boogie' and there are also some deep techno tracks like 'system' i couldn't stop dancing.check it!!!

Restlesssoul-Amazing releases so far this year,some real quality soulful house,such as 'Someone ft kayenne' produced by Phil Asher & Kai Alce & Addicted/lets go by A.C Layne ft Selina Campbell.There are also fantastic releases from Bopstar,Aaron Ross and Phil Asher himself.Support it!!!

Quiet village-silent movie///If you like something a little laid back this is the perfect album,beautifully arranged pieces of music,strings, cascade of harps,natures sound effects,flute,uplifting stuff,MAGICAL!!!
